Indian Starter kitchen list

I have moved home so many times, that this list stays on my computer: a starter list for an Indian kitchen. No fancy stuff here.. but enough equipment to keep a family fed happily for 6 weeks before you start the hunt for the perfect waffle maker!

Do let me know if I have missed out on anything :)


Cooking
2 pressure cookers
2 pans (tea sized)
2 frying pans
2 patila
2 kadai (one thicj bottom, one aluminium)
1 milk pan, 1 rice pan if particular
colander : salad, dhaniya, pasta
each to have a lid and a steel plate that fits on top

6 dabbas to store biscuits, namkeen etc.
4-6 small dabbas to store saunf supari stuff
12-36 of 250 gm masala dabbas pearlpet
2-4 large 5l dabbas to store rice, atta, packets of supplies, pref square
2 plastic travel/shopping baskets - double handled - milton, I think
